The 53rd convocation of Dhaka University (DU) was held on November 19, 2023. The decision was taken at a syndicate meeting presided over by DU Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman, said a press release from the university’s public relations office.

First Venue

DU Central Playground

Graduates from Dhaka University and Constituent College & Institute.

Second Venue

Dhaka College

Graduates from Dhaka College, Government Bangla College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Government Shahid Suhrawardy College, Government Bangla College and Government Titumir College.

Third Venue

Eden Mohila College

Graduates from Eden Mohila College and Begum Badrunnesa Government Mohila College.

52^nd Convocation

DU authorities have completed all preparations required for the celebration, ahead of the grand ceremony where 21,111 students will receive graduation certificates.

President and Chancellor of the university Abdul Hamid is expected to attend the convocation as chief guest, while Prof Emeritus Anisuzzaman will be the convocation speaker.

There will be two extended venues at Eden Mohila College and Dhaka College, where 4,000 graduates of the seven newly-affiliated colleges of DU will participate and will be connected with the main venue through video conference.
